Texas and ERCOT Onsite Power

Texas is adding large loads faster than almost anywhere in the country. Data centers, industrial plants, oil and gas facilities and manufacturers are all competing for the same interconnection capacity on the ERCOT grid, and the wait for a new large-load connection can stretch well past the point where a project needs power. Aegis Power Solutions helps large power consumers in Texas close that gap with onsite generation they control.

WHY ONSITE POWER FITS TEXAS

Texas has abundant natural gas, a market built around competitive power prices, and strict scrutiny of large new loads. That combination favors facilities that can generate some or all of their own power. Onsite generation can shorten time to power, reduce exposure to peak-price events, and keep operations running when the grid is stressed.

WHAT WE BUILD AND SUPPLY

Mobile gas turbine packages and gas generator sets for bridge power while the grid connection is completed. Gas power plants designed, permitted and developed for long-term supply. Battery storage to cover short spikes and ride through disturbances. Combined heat and power for sites with steady thermal demand. Microgrids that tie these together and can run connected to the grid or on their own.

THE FINANCIAL CASE

We model the project against your load shape, fuel cost, interconnection timing and the price you would otherwise pay for grid power. For many Texas sites the value comes from three places: revenue or production protected by getting online sooner, avoided cost during peak pricing periods, and a stable, contracted fuel cost. We present the numbers side by side so you can compare onsite generation against waiting for the grid.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can onsite power get a Texas facility running before its grid connection is ready?

Yes. Packaged mobile turbines and generator sets can come online much faster than a grid upgrade, and then stay as backup or move to another site once the permanent connection is complete.

Do you only work with gas?

No. We design hybrid systems that combine gas generation with solar, storage and thermal recovery, depending on the site and the economics.
